Photographers get Photographed!

Marlene Fast is one of the most generous and creative people I know.  As a member of the Professional Photographers Association of Canada she has her Masters Degree as well as the experience to back it up!  we had a fantastic time with her this week end and on Saturday she came over to shoot some family portraits for us!  Here are the results!  What a great day and an awesome photographer!  Thanks Marlene!  

Magnificent Africa Wine and Cheese

Tonight's Wine and cheese was spectacular!  There were many awesome people that came out and had a great time!  Thanks guys!  I am looking forward to hearing more from you all and seeing you again soon.  The catering was done by D&J Catering and Crystal Hackawich made the amazing cupcakes!  Thank you!

Play time with South African friends!

Today we had a playdate with some great friends... They have a super cute son, here are some of the images of him that I captured "mid-play" We had so much fun!  Thanks for coming over guys!  capturing images of kids is always tricky - especially when you are in the studio, a place where they are generally uncomfortable and wiry of.  So what we did here is just put the little man in the best lighting situation available and play time did the rest for us!  It is definitely the best way to photograph young children!  And the results are fantastic!

Brandon Wheat Kings Honored

As the team photographer for the Brandon Wheat Kings I get to meet all kinds of fascinating and interesting people.  This image was taken this past week end with Frank Arndt from My IT Source in Brandon.  He was at the game he presented three star awards to Andrew Clark and Brayden Schenn of the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Congratulations guys!  You both do us proud!

Global TV Wedding feature

I found this clip through my great friend Joel, It speaks to the recession issue with regards to finding ways to cut costs on your wedding.  Both Joel and I think that the advice they offer here is a bit backward and that cutting costs on things like photography, rings and such - the things that actually tangibly remain with you after the wedding is ludicrous.  Have a look and tell me what you think...

Sweet Creations

Crystal Hackywicz  from Sweet Creations is one of the most creative people I have met!  She makes cakes (and things) but these are not your ordinary run of the mil cakes - these are artworks.  Masterpieces actually.  I went over to her place yesterday and photographed this cake for one of her clients - Truly spectacular!  You can call her at 570 1927, or add her as a friend on Facebook to see more of her work!

NAPP is a fantastic place to learn Photoshop.  These guys are pro's and are great at giving you exactly what it is that you need.  There is a ton of discounts, information, training and teaching that they do that will blow your mind!
